CHAPTER PURPOSE
To preserve the proud legacy of the Purple Heart Medal.
The Fourth Annual Daniel S. Campbell All-Airborne Chapter, 82d Airborne Division Association Golf Tournament will be held March 22 at the Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club's Oak Course in Hernando.
Congress chartered the 82d Airborne Division Association in 1944. The Association's nine Florida chapters, as well as its chapters nationwide, work diligently to support assistance programs that benefit active duty service members and veterans.
Check-in for the four-person scramble is 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Individuals and groups short of four persons will be combined to make four person teams. You do not need to be a veteran to participate.
Golf tournament participation is a $55 per person donation. Charitable tax-deductible contributions for door prizes and hole sponsorships for $300 and $50 are also greatly welcome. A $300 hole sponsorship includes a foursome and business card ad in the chapter's monthly newsletter.
Each golfer’s donation includes golf and cart, beverages on the course and lunch at the country club. The tournament features prizes for a Hole-in-One, closest to the pin and the first, second and last finishing teams, plus door prizes.
Hole sponsorships and participating golfers should make their check or money order payable to Daniel S. Campbell Chapter and send it with the respected form to Stephen C. Leonard, 3848 E. Wilma St., Inverness, Florida 34453 no later than March 20.
