The 2008/2009 MOPH Scholarship awards $3,000 to Purple Heart recipients, a direct descendant (child, step-child, adopted child, grandchild, great grandchild), or spouse or widow of a MOPH Life member, a current MOPH annual member, a MOPH member in good standing at the time of death, or a veteran killed in action or died of wounds.  Scholarship applications can be obtained by visiting the MOPH Web site at purpleheart.org.  MOPH Headquarters or the Chair of the MOPH Scholarship Committee must receive scholarship applications no later than 5:00 p.m. February 19, 2008.
